We have no street lights where I live as it's a tiny hamlet in the Northumberland National Park. I love that we have none as I can see the stars with no light polution, however I think I could live with one of these. Found at Juxtapoz Magazine

Love It

I love this idea, right up my street. I was delivering some Ghost Furniture pieces to one of my lovely customers not long ago and in her tiny cottage lounge she had 3 assorted vintage shades hanging from the centre of her beamed ceiling with a table beneath. It was so effective, well worth a try methinks.
This little beauty is available from Rockett St George

A Piece of New York History

I will never forget my first ever visit to New York. I was exhausted after taking a walk due to all the WALK DONT WALK signs at every junction, of which there are many.
These genuine signs can be bought from Walk Dont Walk Signs in the UK. Note they don't have the ' in don't if you see what I mean.

Mesmerising

When I entered the site of VG New Trend in Italy I thought the figures used were statues and wondered how they got them in the right positions. Seems they are real people made to look like statues. Not only is their website mesmerising so are the pieces of furniture, lighting and floral displays. Take a look there's more and take note of the music containing heavy breathing and dripping water.

How To Make a Paper Lantern of Your Home

Sometimes you come across a DIY project on the internet and it blows your socks off. This one left me bare footed. Print a colour pic of your home on paper, wrap it around a battery powered t-light (don't want a fire do we) and you have the most amazing lamps. How cool is that? Found at Hutch Studio
I have every intention of doing some of these with my cottage pics.

New From James Plumb

A vintage chair with a concrete seat,
an old book turned into a candle holder
and a triffid ladder. How clever. All new designs by James Plumb of whom I am a great fan.
